The Tone is one of the Kanto region's main whitewater rivers, running from the spring snowmelt through autumn. Departures are at 9:00, 11:30, and 13:30, and there is free parking at the base.
At Dream Adventure, rafting is open from age 6 and canyoning from age 12. Children aged 6 to 12 pay the child rate of ¥4,000 for rafting. A guide rides in every boat and adjusts the route to the day's water level, so the trip works for families and first-time paddlers.
Yes. Dream Adventure offers a full-day combo of rafting and canyoning for ¥10,000 for adults and ¥6,000 for children, which costs less than booking the two separately. Because canyoning has a minimum age of 12, the combo is open to ages 12 and up.
Dream Adventure operates from April to October. April through June has the highest water from snowmelt and the strongest rapids; July and August have warmer water that suits families with children; September and October are calmer, with autumn colours through the valley.
At Dream Adventure, rafting is ¥6,000 for adults and ¥4,000 for children, and canyoning is the same. A full-day combo of both is ¥10,000 for adults and ¥6,000 for children. All prices include equipment rental and a guide. A riverside BBQ can be added and is paid on site.
Please bring a swimsuit, your own towel, and a change of clothes. Towels are not provided. Life jackets, helmets, and wetsuits are fully included in the tour price, so you do not need to bring your own specialized equipment. For footwear, please bring water-friendly shoes or old sneakers that you do not mind getting wet. For your own security, please do not bring valuable items or wear them during the activity, as they can easily be lost in the river.
